Chauveau (electoral district)

Chauveau is a provincial electoral district in the province of Quebec, Canada. It is located in the Capitale-Nationale region. The riding was formed in 1965. Previously from 1867 to 1965, the area was within the riding of Quebec (or Comte-Quebec in French). It includes portions of Quebec City and the municipalities of Stoneham-et-Tewkesbury, Lac-Beauport and Saint-Gabriel-de-Valcartier.

The riding is named after the first Premier of the Province of Quebec, Pierre-Joseph-Olivier Chauveau who was in power from 1867 to 1873
